This one day course covers some of the most common types of crashes that patrol officers and reconstructionists are assigned to investigate. Utility pole strikes and rollovers usually involve speed, but sometimes determining that speed is a difficult challenge because there is little physical evidence prior to impact. Rollovers as well may leave little evidence of the actual speed and many times, the identification of the operator and other occupants may produce its own special type of challenges for the investigator. This course, if time permits, covers all three issues, however, determining speed, through the usage of formulas, will take precedent over the occupant ID portion of this course so that attendees can conduct a comprehensive investigation when they leave the class as it relates to utility pole strikes and rollovers. Entry Level Standards:
This course is open to any individual that has attended minimally SRR's Advanced Crash Investigation Course or it's equivalence.
Tools Required:
Workshop Content: Utility Pole Strikes
Rollovers
Occupant ID
This course has been approved for 6 ACTAR CEUs
